Ryder Cup 2010 Tickets
The Ryder Cup is a golf trophy contested biennially in an event called the "Ryder Cup Matches" by teams from Europe and the United States. The Matches are jointly administered by the PGA of America and the PGA European Tour.
The 37th Ryder Cup Matches will be held between September 6th and September 21st, at Valhalla Golf Club, Louisville, Kentucky, USA. The captains will be Nick Faldo for Team Europe and Paul Azinger for Team USA. The assistant captains for Europe will be Paul McGinley and José María Olazábal. Raymond Floyd, Dave Stockton and Olin Browne will assist Azinger.
The format for the event will stay the same as in the previous two Ryder Cup Matches. On the first day, 4 Four-Ball matches in the morning and 4 Foursome matches in the afternoon will be played and on the second day 4 Four-Ball matches in the morning and 4 Foursome matches in the afternoon will be played and on the third and final day 12 Single matches will be played for a total of 28 points. All matches will be played to 18 holes each.
The matches are very exciting and competitive, as the teams are quite evenly matched. Europe has won seven times and retained the cup once, and the Americans have won six times. Also 2006, the last Ryder Cup showed the Brit Paul Casey achieve a hole-in-one as well as the American Scott Verplank.
