Newcastle United FC was founded in 1892 after the merger of two local clubs Newcastle East End and Newcastle West End. Nicknamed The Magpies or The Toon, their home ground is St James Park which has a capacity of over 52000.

Magpies legend Peter Beardsley was placed in charge further to Chris Hughton’s departure in December 2010 leading players such as captain Kevin Nolan, Alan Smith, Steve Harper and Steven Taylor.

The Magpies have had a tough season but they look to finish in 5th place in the league, with the last game of the season away to Everton, a win will seal Newcastle at 5th place with 68 pts. Newcastle have won 19 games this season, lost 10 and drawn 8 matches. They have won 11 games consecutively  this season and scored an impressive 51 goals in the league. The Magpies top scorer in the premiership league this year is Demba Ba with 16 goals for his club.
